2026 Resource Fair

COMMUNITY RESOURCE FAIR – June 2026

On Saturday, June 13th, KDC’s New Bedford office welcomed families, community members, and local organizations for the third annual Community Resource Fair. The event, generously sponsored by Milestone Mortgage Solutions, connected families and individuals with valuable services while celebrating the strength of the local community.

More than 30 community partners participated, offering a wide range of information about New Bedford-based health, education and social services. Attendees had the opportunity to meet directly with local organizations to ask questions and learn more about programs designed to support individuals at every stage of life.

The New Bedford Community Resource Fair is organized by KDC’s New Bedford Early Intervention program director Laura Farley. Her vision is to create a welcoming, safe, and engaging space where families can access important resources while enjoying a free, fun-filled day together.

When asked about the fair, Farley stated, “What excites me most, is the continued support from both our community organizations and the families who attend. Whether someone is looking for resources for themselves, a parent is seeking support for their child, or a caregiver is searching for services for a loved one, our goal is to make those connections in one welcoming location. Each year, I see new families and organizations join us, and that tells me we’re making a meaningful impact.”

In addition to connecting attendees with local resources, the fair features a variety of family-friendly activities, giveaways, and entertainment. KDC team members volunteer to do face paintings, ballon animals, games and interactive activities that kept children smiling while parents and guardians meet with community partners.

“This event would not be possible without the incredible support of our team, and my husband, who works so hard every year to keep everything running smoothly”, Farley added.

The New Bedford Community Resource Fair continues to grow as a valued tradition for the local community. Events like this reflect KDC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening community bonds and ensuring that everyone has access to vital services and information. It all ties back to our vision–a world where every individual and family thrives, no matter the circumstances.
